Josh Cooper is a former college football player, nationally recognized political consultant and a World Champion BBQ Pit Master. Cooper competed on season 8 of Fox's MasterChef, where he was narrowly defeated by the eventual Season 8 champion, Dino Luciano, and has made appearances on the Food Network and Travel Channel. He is the culinary contributor for Influence Magazine and has appeared as a celebrity judge for a local Chopped Jr competition in Tallahassee.
After winning four first place finishes at the 2018 World BBQ Cooking Contest at “Memphis in May,” Cooper and his wife, Gannon, defeated some of the world’s best chefs when they placed 9th at the World Seafood Contest during the 2018 World Food Championships. They were most recently crowned 2019 World Seafood Champions at this year's competition. The Cooper's recently launched, Cooper’s Next Level BBQ and will compete on the Florida BBQ Association and Kansas City BBQ Society competition circuits in the coming year. Cooper and his wife Gannon placed third at the Final Table Indy featured on the Cooking Channel and look to repeat as World Champions this year.
